Unto the mountains...

Since kamp has been over, most every morning I have been on my bike. I just need to work out a little of that left over kamp energy before I go to sit in an office for 8hours. It's therapy for sure.

When you ride around here, you always feel like you are going up a hill. It's tough to find a flat spot in the Ozarks. But you know what? I don't mind. Not only is it a good workout, it's always great scenery.

Each morning as I make the turn to head back in to town, I pass a spot in the road where you can see for miles. It's a typical Ozarks mountain view where the greens and the blues just come alive as far as the eye can see.

It's there that I think of Psalm 121 when David says, "I will lift my eyes unto the mountains, for where shall my help come from? My help comes from the Lord..." the Palmist continues, "Who made heaven and earth."

Always Good

It's always good to be in Jayhawk land.

This past weekend I took some time to stop over in Lawrence to give Aj a tour of the KU campus. As a high school sophomore, one of the places he is considering for college is Kansas. After all, he would be in good company.

His time included a tour of the campus, lunch in the Union where he spent some time listening to why it would be good to become a Jayhawk, as well as taking a few minutes to meet and talk to Bill Self. Sweet time in the land of Oz for sure.

We were at the game that night to see some of Todd Reesing and the football team. We ended up hanging out with Weston, Whealon, Leigh, Whitney Bruce, Emily, Stewart, and few other Kwest staff.
